Scamps Peacharita
Cinco de Mayo, One of our favorite holidays is just a week away and it has us wanting to shake things up a bit. Anyone down for a quick and easy drink recipe? This one comes straight from the heart, and not just because it’s our favorite color! We took a classic recipe and added a Scamps twist. This gorgeous spring cocktail is refreshing, flavorful and dangerously delicious… but don’t take our word for it!
Here’s the recipe to make it for yourself.
INGREDIENTS
PEACH SYRUP:
-1 10 oz bag frozen peaches or 2 heaping cups sliced peeled fresh peaches
-1/2 cup Scamps Toffee Sauce
-1/2 cup water
MARGARITA:
-2 ounces silver tequila
-1 ounce peach liqueur
-2 ounces peach syrup (see recipe below.)
-4 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice
-Sliced peaches for garnish.
INSTRUCTIONS
PEACH SYRUP:
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes. Periodically press the fruit with the back of a spoon to help it cook down. Place a fine mesh sieve over a bowl and pour the mixture through. Lightly press on the fruit to extract all of the syrup. Cool syrup.
MARGARITA:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until combined and pour into an ice filled glass (feel free to adjust ingredients to your taste preference). Garnish with sliced peaches.
